You might as well start with a good one:August 8th at 8 PM, Hard Rock Cafe Copenhagen opens Pride week the right way: four of the sharpest, proudest, funniest comics in the city. One night, no apologies, no straights... okay, well, we tolerate a few of them. Hosted by Ira Sylvester London-born, Copenhagen-based comic whose sharp wit blends philosophical punchlines with brazenly daft humour into something deep, dark, and ridiculous—like a violent altercation with your inner child. A resident MC of Proud Mary Monday Mic and No Stress Comedy, Ira was nominated for BBC New Comedian of the Year in 2023, was a finalist in The West End New Act Competition in 2025, and performed a sold-out show at Vault Festival. His traumedy style unpacks the modern world one absurd truth at a time, straddling introspection, observation, and unbridled rage at loud chewing. Featuring Ciara Jack - Award-nominated standup, writer, and satirist who has written for BBC Radio's New Comedy Show and was a semi-finalist of the Funny Women and Amused Moose awards. Highly reviewed across Edinburgh Fringe as bringing the outgoingness of an American with the brooding truth of the Irish, she's been touted as "One to Watch." Sharp, incisive, and fearless. Michael Bjerring Denmark's norm-critical drag queen and golden buzzer recipient on "Denmark's Got Talent," reaching the finale as the first drag performer ever to achieve it. A six-time Rainbow Award nominee, Mizz delivers entertainment bursting with surprises, heart, and comedy through the sold-out Shamelezz concept and comedy trio "The Cocktail Destroyers." As founder of Lev og Lad Leve, Michael channels fierce activism ending hate crimes against LGBTQI+ people, spreading glam and comedy across Denmark and internationally. Markus MunkCopenhagen-based comic exploring identity, meaning, and the absurdities of modern gay life with humour and heart. Over three years of performing at CPH open mics and local competitions, Markus has crafted a sharp, self-aware comedy style ranging from dating disasters to existential questions—equal parts hilarious and honest.
